This is the slowest time of the college football calender but there are still a few interesting stories.




  • The US senate is creating a subcommittee to try to create a playoff system. They claim nearly half of the FBS is at a competitive disadvantage for not having an automatic qualifier for the millions of dollars the BCS gives out. The senate is said to be in favor of a playoff.

  • Tim Tebow's post game speech following a September 27 loss to Ole Miss is being immortalized at Florida's new football facility.

  • Pete Carroll Twitters.

  • If sports betting is legalized in Delaware, The University of Delaware will not be allowed to play a home play off game.

  • 2009's top recruit, USC quarterback Matt Barkley, did an interview with the LA Times.
